Destined for Failure.

I literally feel like this is destined for failure.  My laptop has unfortunatley broken - AGAIN - and I have no clue how much it is going to cost to fix it so am waiting for pay day. 

So annoying and have already lost a couple of followers - wah. But if you'd be ever so kind then I will hopefully be back to blogging in no more than a week. 

Such a short post but just wanted to quickly explain.

Treating yourself on Valentines day.

As someone who is forever alone single, Valentines day is not my favourite time of the year.  So instead of some really nice post about my imaginary boyfriend or perfect "date night" makeup, this is about how to treat the most important person to me this Valentines - ME.  While everyone is making googly eyes over a plate of spaghetti (apparently romance to me is Lady and the Tramp), I shall be treating myself to a night of pampering so I just though I would share what this involves   Most of the time I either can't be bothered or don't have the time to take every step I want to so this is what I do when I get the chance.

First it's about getting the perfect bath.  I'll pop in a Lush bath bomb (probably the Comforter) since there's nothing better than a gorgeous smelling bath except a gorgeous smelling, PINK bath!  Then while I'm in the bath, I'll exfoliate.  For my body I use a Mango Sugar Scrub from Boots Natural Collection which is one of the nicest smelling products I've ever used. 

 Then for my face, I use the Soap and Glory Flake Away exfoliater. After that I put a face mask on.  Recently I've been loving the Superdrug clay masks which I reviewed here but I got a couple from H&M a couple of weeks ago that I want to try.

After I've got out, I love this Gok Wan body butter.  This one is the "delux gold" and leaves a slight gold glitter on your skin which some people will hate but I love it!  Who doesn't want to sparkle?  Once this is done. I put of my favourite jammies, which right now are a pair of christmas ones, and threw my hair up I'll set about my nails.  I don't take the best care of them so I'll give them a good clean with nail polish remover then get my wee nail kit out.  Give them a file and buff then paint them properly, taking my time.  Since it's Valentines day, I'll use the Essie We're in it Together which is a really nice pale pink with glitter.

Then before settling down to watch a film, most likely Harry Potter, I'll apply a bit of oil for dry skin and some of the Soap and Glory "Wish Upon a Jar" moisturiser.

So that's really what I like to do when I'm having a wee pamper night, which really isn't all that much but it makes me happy.

50 Facts about Me.

Usually when there is a bandwagon, I try to avoid it like the plague but this was one I wanted to do so here we go.  Hope you're not too bored.

1. My favourite Disney films are Hunchback of Notre Dame and Hercules, mostly because Megara and Esmarelda (the women in the film) are badasses.

2. I still live at home and share a room with my only sister who is 17.

3. The first concert I went to was Busted and when they broke up, I blamed McFly who were supporting them but I've since forgiven them.

4. I'm starting to get a bit obsessed with tumblr.

5. If you hate gay people and think they should be denied rights, I hate you and wish I could deny your right to breathe the same air as me.

6. I never went through an emo phase, thank god for small mercies.

7. I am currently still in my first job which I got more than 3 years ago.

8. I don't "get" the One Direction craze.  Their songs are quite good but I don't see it.

9. I only started wearing lipstick after I started blogging.

10. Vodka makes me happy.  Not in an alcoholic way though. 

11. I currently own NO apple products.

12. I live in Scotland but I've only been to England once which was London last year.

13. I passed my driving test (first time!) on June 1st 2011 and haven't drove since.  Cars are too expensive.

14. I would love to go to New York. 

15. I love looking at tattoos but I don't have any because I'm so indecisive.

16. I love reading and get a bit annoyed when people say they don't read books.

17. Pretty Green Eyes was my favourite song for a long, long time and I still like it.

18. I've lived in the same flat since I was 3.

19. Daily Grace is my absolute favourite youtuber.

20. I am one of those saddos who thinks everything happens for a reason and tries to be positive most of the time.

21. I do like a good cry though, mostly at films.  I cried at the start of Titanic when Jack and Rose fall in love because I knew what was coming. 

22. I also get really sad when I think about the fact Stephen Lawrence was murdered on the day I was born.  Sorry to lower the mood.

24. I think Obama is the man and want Hilary Clinton to run for President next election.

25. I love Winter but I'm totally ready for warm days and long nights now. 

26. I love big hoop earrings, I'm trying single-handedly to bring them back.

27. I get quite competitive but don't actually take part in competitive events that often.

28. I've literally started thinking about my wedding but I am single as fuck.

31. I have weird skin pigmentation that is totally unnoticeable until I put fake tan on, then I look like a leopard.  Sexy.

33. I am the clumsiest person ever but I've never broke a bone.

34. I lovee glitter, pink, leopard print - basically anything a little bit tacky.

35. I have never been to a mexican restaurant or fast food place.

36. I need specks but wear contact lenses when I'm out because glasses get on my nerves when I've done my makeup all nice.

37. I wear winged eye liner near enough every day and feel a bit undone without it. 

38. I don't really have a nickname except when my mum calls me "Gemz."

39. I'm obsessed with babies but don't plan on having them any time soon.

40. I've had a Blackberry for 3 and a half years and can't wait to see the back of it.  Damn 36 month contracts.

41. I really want a fur gilet but feel like I would look like such a tit wearing one.

 42. I believe in ghosts and like watching paranormal type things even though they scare the shit out of me. 

43. I can't put the lottery on cause I go in such a bad mood when I don't win it.

44. I have been friends with my best friend for 16 years which is pretty impressive since I'm only 19.

45. I've been on Beechgrove Gardens, yeah I'm pretty famous.  Google it.

46. I sometimes read things in my head with a kind of Texas/Southern accent but I don't know why.

47. I've been to Australia and spent most of the time being annoyed that no one could understand my accent.

48. The only autobiography I've ever read is Frankie Boyle's and it was pretty funny.

49. People talking too slowly or telling a story too slowly is a pet hate.
