Dolly Blue Contact Lenses

Since about 14 I have been specky.  I absolutely HATED it at first but now, thanks to nicer glasses and more importantly contact lenses, I don't mind it.  At first I got the daily contact lenses when I was going to holiday and I wanted to be able to wear sunglasses and since then I've kind of just kept on with them.  I don't wear them every day mostly because they're quite expensive and I don't feel I need then if I'm going to Safeway or something.

Since I started blogging though I realised you could get coloured contact lenses with prescriptions and would last for a year.  The first pair I ever ordered were from Pinky Paradise were these bright blue pair called EOS Dolly Eye Blue.
How cute is the packaging?  Every pair of contact lenses from the website comes with a really cute case with different colours and shaped like different animals so the one I got was a wee yellow elephant case.
I was so excited to get these when I first opened them though the packaging, which was two little individual jars with a contact lens in each, was so hard to open.  Once I got into it the looked lovely but maybe a little bit bright.

I actually really like them but they are so false looking.  Clearly about one person in the world has eyes this colour.  I do like them but I think the fakeness of them makes them hard to wear daily.  I've worn them to the dancing (clubbing?) because it's dark and I feel like I can get away with them haha.
They're really comfortable and you don't even feel them in the eyes which is just like my daily ones so that's a major benefit of them.

These were £19.00 including delivery but because they come from China (I think?) they do take a couple of weeks to arrive but the delivery charge is really cheap so I couldn't complain about that.

Would you ever try coloured contact lenses?
Also would you like to see posts on other coloured contacts?

  2. I've been using my contacts for just over a year now, I have the monthly ones and they're the best thing I've ever bought! The coloured ones really make your eyes pop but I agree that they're a little false looking but you could definitely get away with them when you go out :) xx
